Denise Francis, founder of The Self-love Organization, has launched a groundbreaking wellness app called Heal Sis, designed specifically for Black women. The app addresses the long-overlooked mental health needs of this community by providing accessible resources for healing and self-care.
Heal Sis offers three key features: monthly journaling sessions, meditations curated by Black women, and affordable therapy options. Users can access group therapy sessions and connect with Black therapists for one-on-one healing at discounted rates.
Francis, who prioritizes her own mental health through journaling, meditation, and faith, created the app to fill a crucial gap in wellness resources for Black women. “For too long, the mental health and wellness needs of Black Women have been overlooked and underserved,” she told Essence magazine in a recent interview.
The Heal Sis app is now available for both iOS and Android devices, offering a safe space for Black women to address generational pain and prioritize their mental well-being.
